On the other hand we have seen on the conference, that there already are many "forks" of eZ Publish, since most eZ Partners modify the upstream code in one way or the other. It's a great thing of eZ Publish, that it's actually so modular, that you can easily adapt it to your needs. Looking forward to use real tools! Get GIT!
