Open all links 0.3.1

April 26th, 2007

I’ve submitted a new version of Open all links for review to Mozilla add-ons. This is mainly a maintenance release which ensures compatibility with Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.
What’s new?

Added an extension icon.
Done task #2: Compatibility with Thunderbird 2 (Modified maxVersion to 3.0a1).
Fixed bug #3: Some links are not excluded
Added locales:

  • de-DE
  • fr-FR
  • it-IT
  • pt-BR
  • ru-RU
  • zh-CN

You can already download the new release here or from the Sandbox.

Thanks, very handy tool.. For the next version, could you add a feature that detects dupplicate links. If e.g. http://www.foo-corp.com appear twice, then it foes not seem practical to open the page twice. Same for http://foo-corp.com and http://www.foo-corp.com, these should also be detected as dupplicates.

hi, very handy tool, thanks for that!

    ofcourse, it can be improved:
the confirmation dialog shows “ok” and “cancel”, where “cancel” means “not ok” (do not open this link, but continue with a lot of other confirmation dialogues…)

it would be nicer for the user, if “cancel” would really mean “cancel” (abort the opening all links extensions work right now)
and if you instead add a “no” button, which does the “no, i want not to open this link, but kindly ask me for the next link”.

this is handy, if the user uses this extension on a mail with more than 7 links, which happens very often here.
(and sometimes, i don’t want to be asked another 5 times, if i dont want to open the remaining 5 links, but the first two)

    also, an clickable option like
[x] don’t ask me again (this session only)
    and
[x] don’t ever ask me again (change this behaviour in the options)

    would be useful, too :-)

    anyway. good to have it.

    cheers mate,
    loth
