Spamcop reporting bookmarklet

Recently I started reporting spam to SpamCop with the Okopipi Thunderbird extension. With a single click, all mails marked as spam can be reported in batch with one single e-mail to your SpamCop submission e-mail address. You’ll get a mail back from SpamCop with a list of links to reporting forms, one for each spam mail you submitted.
I didn’t found a way to open all these links in the e-mail with one click. If you have a solution, then please let me know.
Also the reporting process is a bit slow. You either have to scroll or click on an anchor to go to the submit button at the bottom of the page. So I made a small bookmarklet which will submit the reporting form for me.

Finally I only have to open the list of links in the e-mail, switch between the tabs in Firefox by using Ctrl+Tab and clicking the bookmarklet once for each tab.
Maybe the bookmarklet can be automatically executed with Greasemonkey, but I didn’t try this yet.

I have made and improved version of this bookmarklet that will not only submit the review pages, but also click the “Unreported Spam: Report Now” link on the SpamCop homepage. So, if you forward a lot of spam at once, you can report it by just clicking this bookmarklet a few times once you’re at the SpamCop homepage. Will also work on the “spam is too old to send” messages.
You can get it by dragging and dropping the original version from the main post above to your favorites/bookmarks. Then, go to one of the mirrors below for the bookmarklet enhancement I made, copy the plaintext version of the script. Then, right click the bookmark and press Properties… and replace the existing URL with the script you copied from the pastebin.

Perhaps the author might considering making a cleaner link to the bookmarklet as well. I freely give my modifications. Thanks to squarefree.com for this hints to make this modification.

Cool stuff.
I had a similar problem, namely processing large spamcop queues. I went the Perl way though.
Automating SpamCop Reporting
This Perl script processes your complete spamcop queue, reporting every spam message found in your spamcop queue, avoiding you to click on ‘process’ for each of them.
With slight modifications, it can even be set as a cronjob, letting you focus on only forwarding spam to spamcop queue for it to be automatically reported.

Where do you put these script in Thunderbird?

No, these scripts are completely independent of Thunderbird…..the only thing Thunderbird will be used for, is submitting large amounts of spam mail to spamcop as attachments.
After submitting it all, go to spamcop.net and you;ll see the message “you have no spam to report” or somsuch, click that link, click this bookmarklet, click the link again, click this bookmarklet, and so on
